Kristin Cubberly Spotlight

Meet Kristin Cubberly! She is currently working as Chief People Officer for MS Transverse Insurance Group.
What Kristin loves about her work is the opportunity to connect people to roles that helps them develop and grow in and with the organization. She gets enormous satisfaction when she sees the impact of making those connections, seeing people being energized by the work. What she doesn't like: mundane, administrative items that take her away from strategic work.
Kristin joined PSC in June 2022 during COVID. She had stopped working in the city and was looking for a new role closer to home (NJ). When she mentioned that to neighbors at a block party, they pointed her to a neighbor (Chris) who was a PSC board member and lived just around the corner. She came to a social at “The Office” in Summit - and the rest is history!
What she likes most about PSC are the people. Kristin believes in the power of direct references – no matter what the challenge is, there's oftentimes someone who can help. For example, a PSC connection led to her finding an outstanding payroll person. One of the things she is interested in is to develop a stronger New Jersey presence and she's looking forward to an opportunity in the summer to have an informal local meet-up.
One topic she is passionate about is coaching. Having worked in growing companies, she has seen people struggle with how to lead and how to coach their team.
Her favorite podcast these days? HR Nightmares (https://open.spotify.com/show/2FtOJuo6UwmcFGlvWU6i6C) – which is very funny!
